In our restaurant, we mainly offer traditional Swiss cheese specialties, which we serve in a cozy atmosphere.

Cheese fondue: An absolute classic of Swiss cuisine, in which melted cheese is dipped in bread. The Restaurant Hirschen is often recommended as one of the best places in Grindelwald for fondue.

Raclette: Another popular cheese specialty where cheese is melted and scraped onto potatoes, pickles and silver onions.

Tarte flambée: Although more of an Alsatian specialty, tarte flambée is also very popular in Switzerland and is served at the Hirschen. It is a kind of thin pizza with a crispy base, topped with sour cream, onions and bacon.

We are open for you from Tuesday to Saturday.

From 12.00 noon to 9.00 p.m. we offer hot meals throughout the day.

On Tuesdays the restaurant only opens in the evening from 6.00 p.m.
