The Hotel Hirschen in Grindelwald in Switzerland is a traditional 3-star hotel in the heart of the village, known for its cozy atmosphere, Swiss hospitality and excellent location amidst the impressive mountains of the Jungfrau Region.
History and tradition: The Hotel Hirschen was opened in 1880 by the Bleuer family and has been in their ownership ever since, currently in its 4th generation. It looks back on over 140 years of history and is deeply rooted in the local community.
Location: Our hotel is centrally located in Grindelwald. It is only a 5-minute walk from Grindelwald train station, the sports center and the Firstbahn. The bus stop for the ski bus in winter is right in front of the hotel. From many rooms and areas of the hotel you have a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains, including the imposing north face of the Eiger.
Facilities and rooms: Our Hotel Hirschen has around 30 rooms and some vacation apartments. The rooms are comfortably and friendly furnished and offer amenities such as bath or shower, hairdryer, safe, HDMI TV and telephone. Many rooms have a balcony with mountain views. There are single, double and family rooms.
Gastronomy: Our hotel has a restaurant that is known for its regional delicacies. Popular Swiss specialties such as cheese fondue, raclette and tarte flambée are served here. Guests can enjoy a well-rated breakfast
Wellness and activities: The Hotel Hirschen offers a wellness area to relax in after an active day in the great outdoors. This includes a Finnish sauna, a herbal sauna, an infrared cabin and two foot massage pools. Use of the sauna area is reserved for our hotel guests and can be booked for a fair price. In winter it is included for stays of 2 nights or more.
